John Orfanopoulos has graduated from the Physics Department of the University of Patras. His postgraduate studies (University of Athens) were focused on the development and programming of automation electronic circuits. Through this work, JO has acquired the necessary expertise for PCB design, software development for integrated circuits, for programmable logic devices (PLD), microcontrollers, and for computer control and data acquisition of experimental apparata. Furthermore JO was trained on analog circuit design and has acquired the necessary knowledge and practical experience in developing high voltage analog circuits with operational amplifiers and transistors. JO has the essential know-how required for designing and constructing electronic circuits to operate and control a mass or ion mobility spectrometry prototype. In his work with Fasmatech, JO and his team design complex digital and analogue electronic devices, including high voltage devices.
